We need to talk. Up until now, our relationship has been a beautiful expression of lasting love. A give-and-take: I give you my money, then take home your boxes of furnishings, sprawl out on my living room rug surrounded by wood parts, screwdrivers, hack saws, drafting compasses and whatever these things are called
This herb garden is great for small spaces and decks. We decided to grow our herbs on our deck because the neighborhood deer have decided to mow down on anything and everything in our yard this year. I think the culprits are these two cute faces. Ike and I think they are adorable but stay away from my plants, fools. I've put Ike on deer watch now in addition to herb garden duty. I should also put him on hydrangea duty. My hydrangeas had about 20 beautiful blooms. I went out to snip off a few and GONE. ALL GONE. I lost my marbles and bought some deer deterrent product (all natural, won't harm anyone). We have a huge wooden area right behind our house. Eat that already!
Who’s ready for some free kitchen art? Printables are my favorite go to for a quick solution for artwork that’s cheap and easy. Since I’m working on my kitchen these days (which you’ll finally see next week), this month, along with my buddy Andrea at The Cotttage Market, I’m sharing a set of four fun, free printables for the kitchen.
A few weeks ago I shared with you one of the challenges that my family faces in the morning…. last-minute chaos. Most of this chaos is caused by us being slightly under prepared and a little bit disorganized. Right now we are dealing with two big issues when it comes to making the most of the #First59 minutes of the day. 1-“I can’t find my clothes” and 2- “There is no room for me in the bathroom”. With the help of IKEA and lots of inspiration found online I decided to tackle the second of these two problems, the bathroom. The clothing situation still needs to be addressed but that’s a bigger project and I realized that I had a quick and simple solution to the bathroom problem.
Aside from making the seat cushion, this is probably one of the easiest furniture hacks! You’ve got to love Ikea for this reason alone. I really like the idea of turning a simple bookshelf on it’s side to create a storage bench seat. This shelving unit from Ikea is perfect! The compartments are the ideal size for baskets. Also, check out this detailed tutorial here including instructions for the seat cushion.
